Sunday 22nd May at our local Eglinton course. Hopefully plenty of Fullarton entries… I’ll check the numbers when I’m home tonight. The closing date is this coming Sunday 15th so still time to put an entry in. Unfortunately, as organiser I canny enter but will look forward to Darren’s time and just add a couple of thousandths on for a guesstimate of mine 🙄.

Go on, get onto the CTT website and put an entry in. Road, TT & Tandem bikes allowed… for that matter gravel or MTB also 😀

    Cheers, Gordon G.

The Loch Ken TT was well worth doing. Very picturesque.

Darren, the first left turn at the Kenbridge Hotel you were 3 seconds up on me. I was cautious on the more technical and hilly section down to the left turn at Lauriston but took 12 seconds from you there… you must have been even more cautious 😁. The last section over to the finish I was going full gas and lost 10 seconds to you there. (my personal opinion… if you were able to go so much faster at the finish you’d probably left too much in the tank and could’ve gone quicker… you’re certainly stronger than me).

Isn’t Strava a wonderful thing 🙄. I’ll need to see if I beat you on the ‘Cheese Grater’ segment… 🤔.

Oh and those times… I’m thinking I was a 01’02’38.001″ and you were probably a 01’02’37.999″. Reminds me a wee bit of your last 25m TT at Bishopton where we both got the same time 😁.

Well done to yourself and Allan… going well.

    Cheers, Gordon G.

Well done all… some good times there on a tough course.

Derek, I’ve still no got my race head in gear… been too busy 😕. Going to take the TT bike to Loans on Thursday and then Loch Ken this weekend.

Organising the Bill Moore TT is a wee distraction. Keep getting phone calls from people about it… one old boy of 89 years (is that older than George?) is entering it… plenty of time for you yet Derek.

Got my Loch Ken entry in Darren. Bonnie scenery down there. Missed my entry for the Bishopton 10 on 1st May… been busy with work and no paying attention 🙄.

Aye, been wet then breezy here on Tiree Steve. I’ve been using Wahoo Kickr Core since the start of the year. Had a wee bit of trouble with the first one but got it quickly replaced.. the Wahoo people were great… as is the replacement Kickr Core. Loads of use out of it.

    I’ll try and change appointment.

Ach, it’s a shame the turbo is gubbed Steve. Which turbo have you got and is it repairable?

I’m in Oban for the early Tiree ferry and not on the Zwift ride tonight. Hopefully it will go ok for those who are riding.

I’ve got my booster jab next Monday at 7.30pm and going to miss it again… unless I can find a cancellation on the app.

Apologies for making an arse of tonight’s Zwift. I forgot to choose the ‘Meetup only view’ and it was chaotic on the new Tokyo course. No chance of knowing where everyone was. I tried changing it just before the ride but it wouldn’t let me save the change… probably too close to the start.

Might have got away with it on a quiet country route.

    Genuinely embarrassed.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I think it was just Joe and myself from FWCC tonight. Of course, I’d forgotten there was a certain football match on tonight. Just finished listening and it looks like the glory days are about to return… only 43 years since we won that world cup back in 78 in Argentina…. or was that a dream? (Maybe a nightmare).

I used to chat to Ally McLeod when he had the pub near to where I worked in Kilmarnock. Always felt a bit sorry for how it turned out for him after all the excitement. He was a gentleman though.

I’ll definitely keep the Zwift going through the winter… works wonders with my fitness if nothing else.

I’ll look out for the weekend weather forecasts and maybe do some on Saturday or Sunday mornings if it’s crappy.

    Cheers, Gordon G.

    Hello All,

I’m getting very few FWCC members doing the Monday night Zwift Meetup.

I thought there was a bit of interest expressed in this at the AGM. Are there reasons for people not doing it or just a general apathy at this time of year? Does the date and time not suit?

    Cheers, Gordon G.
