This is a great event. I do it most years but not this year. It’s much tougher than it looks as cyclist have to dismount on all the tarmac areas and carry their bikes over the hurdles too. Great fun and a brilliant atmosphere and this year you don’t even need to bring a gift for the prizes.
For anyone who has done it before – note the earlier start this year.
I’ll be along to spectate.
Hi Colin are you looking for a 10 or 11 spd turbo? Russell has an 11 spd one but would prefer George’s 10 spd if 11 suited you. (assuming George still has the 10spd and isn’t using it of course).
Thanks Jim I suspect we will call on your expertise soon.
We can’t make it tomorrow.
Thanks Alan and Mikey. Hopefully I’ll be back next week.
No problem Dougie – Alan in charge next week.
Thanks Alan much appreciated. I’ll leave it to yourself to choose a route, you have a number to choose from. 🙂
As no one has replied I’m cancelling tomorrow night’s ride.
I can’t make next Tuesday so volunteer needed to lead that one. I can provide a route if required.
12 out tonight on a warm windy evening, including 4 females, one a new member. Some familiar faces I have seen for a while too – hopefully I will see you more often now. 🙂
Thanks for letting me know everyone – see some of you shortly
15/16 out tonight – numbers varied as people joined and left and various points on the route. Another puncture tonight – me this time, thanks for your help chaps.
Any suggestions for routes or volunteer leaders very welcome.
Good Martin – hopefully we can meet up.
see you all shortly.
Arrows indicate direction – Gatehead, Crosshouse, Kilmaurs, heading southwards at Chapeltoun towards Torranyard then wiggling our way through Irvine depending on what roads are now closed. 🙂
Russell and me planning being there too, forecast looking good.
15 out tonight so 2 groups, beautiful evening even with a puncture.
Good route – courtesy of Alan Broadfoot
Thanks to all who came along.
